Tasks, priorities and checklists

A task is a title plus whatever detail you want to add. Click into any task to open it and set:

  • A priority — Urgent, High, Medium or Low, shown as a colored pill.
  • A due date, optionally with a time. Give it a time and Abledo can remind you when it's due.
  • A repeat rule — daily, weekly or monthly. Completing a repeating task schedules the next one automatically.
  • Notes — a free-text description.
  • A checklist of steps. Checking off the last step finishes the whole task; unchecking one on a finished task asks first before reopening it.
  • Attachments — a file or photo, stored on this device or, if you're signed in, in the cloud so it follows the task.

Personal vs. Work

Every task belongs to a Personal or Work space — a lightweight way to split your own to-do list without needing a full project. Switch between them from the My tasks hover menu in the sidebar.

The per-task timer

Give a task a time estimate and a Start/Pause timer appears on it, tracking exactly how long you spent. For a real work/break cycle across multiple sessions, use Focus instead — see "Focus (Pomodoro timer)".
